How to get the camera working? Why is my camera not powering on?
To get the camera working, connect it to an IEEE802.3af PoE switch or injector using one CAT5/6/7 Ethernet cable (or a DC 12V adapter, not included). Check if the PoE cable is securely connected and that the power supply is stable.
Will this work with the Reolink NVR or system?
If you want to buy a new one, the currently on-sale NVRs work with all PoE and plug-in WiFi cameras. If you already have one, you can verify the compatibility via the System Information of the NVR.
Is the camera compatible with third-party software/System/NVR?
The RLC-810A IP camera is compatible with some third-party software/NVR such as Blus Iris or Synology. But currently, we could only ensure the full compatibility between this camera and the Reolink NVR/software.
Why can’t I connect it to 3rd party softwares?
The RTSP and other ports may be disabled by default. You can launch Reolink Client, then go to Device Settings >> Network >> Advanced >> Port Settings to make sure all ports are enabled before using 3rd party softwares.
Is a subscription fee required for Reolink PoE cameras?
No, Reolink PoE cameras work well on their own without subscription fees. You can make full use of the person/vehicle/pet detection, local storage, and other functions for free!
