How Ultra-Long Battery Life Is Achieved

In baby monitors, the screen and backlight system are the biggest power consumers. Most products on the market struggle to last a full day when kept on continuously, which leads to frequent recharging and makes portable use inconvenient.

AnKeKe redesigned the power management system from the architecture level, with one clear goal: minimize power consumption without sacrificing monitoring performance.

When Ultra-Long Standby Mode is enabled, the device does more than simply turn off the display. Most non-essential circuits are shut down, and the CPU enters Core Parking (deep sleep) mode.

Only a small set of critical circuits remain active to:

Continuously monitor sound and motion signals from the cameraListen for wake actions from the power buttonMaintain a stable wireless connection

The screen sleeps, but monitoring stays active.

With the screen off, if baby crying or movement is detected, the system immediately wakes the screen so you can check on your baby right away.

You can also press the power button to wake the screen manually, just like waking a smartphone display — simple and intuitive.

Other buttons will not wake the screen during standby. This design helps reduce accidental touches and unnecessary power drain. Please do not mistake this behavior for the device being powered off.

To make first-time use easier, Ultra-Low Power Standby Mode is disabled by default. Once you enable sound monitoring or motion monitoring, the system automatically activates ultra-long standby operation for extended battery life.

Screen off ≠ power off. AnKeKe’s power-saving design lights the screen only when it truly matters, reducing charging frequency and making baby monitoring more reliable and stress-free.

Smart Monitoring: Peace of mind for when you’re busy.

The Moment the Range Hood Roared, I Was Afraid He’d Wake Up

It was Friday evening at 6 p.m. — the dinner rush, basically a battlefield in the kitchen.

I was searing a steak, oil sizzling in the pan, the range hood on full blast. The kitchen was filled with loud white noise. In that noise, I was practically deaf. I couldn’t hear anything happening in the bedroom.

In the past, moments like this always gave me “phantom hearing.” I’d imagine the baby crying, rush into the bedroom every five minutes to check on him, only to find him sleeping peacefully. And because of that, I burned more than a few dinners.

But this time was different. The AnKeKe monitor was sitting right next to my spice jars.

Suddenly, the screen lit up and an urgent beep-beep alarm went off — the VOX cry detection had been triggered. I glanced over and my heart sank: the baby had rolled over and sat up, lips puckered, tears about to fall.

But my pan was full of hot oil. I couldn’t just walk away! If I ran to him immediately, the steak would be ruined — or worse, the pan could catch fire.

I didn’t panic. I pressed the microphone button on the monitor and said loudly, “Baby, Mommy’s here! Mommy’s coming right now!”

And then something amazing happened.

Hearing my voice coming from that little white device, he froze for a second. The cry he was holding back stopped. He started looking around, trying to find where the sound was coming from.

Those precious 30 seconds were all I needed.

I calmly turned off the stove, took the steak out of the pan, and washed my hands. When I walked into the bedroom and picked him up, he wasn’t crying anymore — he even gave me a little smile.

That night, it could have been either a burned steak or a baby crying himself into exhaustion.

But because of that one feature, we had a perfect dinner and a calm, happy baby.

8 Lullabies:

It was mid-November. My son was just 4 months old.

At 2 PM, my wife got a terrifying call. Her father had been in a car accident. She grabbed her bag and rushed to the hospital, leaving the baby with me. It was the first time she had been gone for so long.

I remember thinking, “It’s just babysitting. I hold him all the time. How hard can it be?”

By 5 PM, the nightmare started. He woke up screaming. Not a whimper—a full-blown, face-purple scream.

I panicked. I checked his diaper. Dry. I checked his temperature. 98.6°F. Normal. I paced the living room, maybe 200 laps, bouncing him. My back was soaked in cold sweat. His crying felt like a drill boring into my brain. I was helpless.

I finally called my wife. I could hear the hospital chaos in the background. “He won’t stop crying,” I admitted, feeling useless. She sounded exhausted. “When did he last eat?” I froze. I looked at the clock. I had no idea. Was it two hours ago? Three? “He’s starving,” she sighed.

I hung up and rushed to warm a bottle. The second the milk touched his lips, the room went silent.Watching him gulp it down, with tears still on his eyelashes, I felt like a terrible father. I had let him scream in hunger for 30 minutes because I simply forgot the time.

That night, I set up the AnKeKe monitor. I’m not a detail-oriented guy, but I know how to use tools.I set the “Feeding Timer” for every 3 hours.

Now, the scene looks like this: I’m working at my desk. Beep-beep. The monitor alerts me. I check the screen. He is still sleeping, but I know he’s due in 10 minutes.I warm the milk and walk into his room. Just as he opens his eyes—before the tears even start—the bottle is ready. He smiles. And I can finally breathe easy.
